John O'Halloran - Head of Software Development
John's career in broadcast and video technologies started after studying Engineering
at Melbourne University. Working in television operations and video editing, he was
prompted to move into broadcast software engineering, developing digital effects
software for Ampex, Axial and Grass Valley in the USA. His work from this time forms
the basis of motion tracking technology, underpinning current 3D/2D systems around the
world. He has since been the principle developer and architect on such things as TV
station on-air automation systems, ingest and playback technologies for commercials
via satellite distribution, watermarking technologies and compression systems. His
areas of expertise and special interest are digital compression, watermarking, digital
distribution, speech-to-text technology and dimensionalization.

Eric Low - Chief Financial Officer
Eric joined XDT after 28 years as a practicing Chartered Accountant, initially with one of the then big 8 accounting firms in Australia. Eric’s professional career covered all facets of public accounting, with exposure to most industries, including the IT industry, and involved working with, and for, small charitable non-profit organisations to family operations and small businesses through to multi-nationals. XDT benefits from Eric’s financial background, and from his forte with the design, development and implementation of accounting, reporting, internal control, management and non-financial systems and procedures. |
